Before Your Desert Adventure
A little preparation makes the day more enjoyable. These notes explain how to plan your guided desert experience and what our team confirms before departure.
Choose the right vehicle
A buggy’s seat count includes its driver. A two-seater accommodates two people in total; a four-seater accommodates up to four, subject to suitable seating and restraints. The RS1 is a single-driver buggy. Quad and KTM prices are per machine for one rider. Tell us how many people want to drive when choosing several vehicles.
Eligibility and riding experience
Buggy drivers must be at least 16; passengers must be at least 3 and safely fitted to the vehicle’s restraints. A regular road driving licence is not required for the guided off-road buggy experience. KTM riders must be at least 18 and experienced with motorcycle control. For quad bikes, tell reservations each rider’s age and experience so the correct machine and requirements can be confirmed.
What to wear and bring
Wear closed shoes and practical clothing. Bring sun protection and secure loose belongings. Avoid clothing that can interfere with pedals, wheels or controls. KTM riders should confirm appropriate protective clothing and equipment with the team before travelling. Tell reservations if you have a health or mobility concern that may affect safe participation.
Driving time and the full visit
Your selected one-hour, 90-minute or two-hour buggy package describes driving time. Allow additional time for arrival, briefing, equipment and any transfers. Photo pauses and sandboarding depend on route and conditions; ask how they fit around your driving minutes when the itinerary is confirmed.
Meeting point and private transfers
The Lahbab red dunes are the main operating area. The exact meeting pin is supplied by reservations for your booking. Optional private hotel transfers are quoted separately unless included in your written arrangements. Confirm pickup location and timing before your day.
Guidance and responsibility
All buggy tours follow a private guide; unguided rides are not offered. The guide chooses the route and safe pace. Follow instructions, use the provided restraints and safety equipment, and do not attempt unapproved manoeuvres. Off-road damage is not covered by comprehensive off-road insurance. Review the waiver and vehicle-damage responsibilities before participating.
Sunset, weather and camp experiences
Sunset timing changes by date. Visibility, dunes and weather influence routes and photo stops. A buggy/safari combo is defined by its written quotation: vehicle, driving duration, transfers and dining. The camp is shared even where buggy guidance or transfers are private.
Changes and payment
Sending a form is a request. The team confirms availability, applicable cancellation/change conditions and the payment process separately. Use an approved payment link when provided; do not send card details through the enquiry form or WhatsApp.
